After months of scheduling problems, the moment for our double date with Valda and Richard to the Italian part of Switzerland finally arrived. As an interesting side note, it happened to fall on a date exactly three months since Stephan and I started dating – but who’s counting?
My man treating me to a first class ticket through the beautiful Swiss mountains to canton Ticino. It was a beautiful sunny day and our first stop was castle hopping in Bellinzona. Then we went to Lugano to visit Madonna del Sasso and eat gilato by the lake. It was warm enough to go without a sweater most of the time. How lovely to freely drink in the sun! It made me ache for the Maggie P. not a few times.
Some tales are better told in pictures, so here you are. (Some are mine. Some are Stephan’s) It was a lovely time and I am now a fan of the double date, only excepting the scheduling difficulties that arise from four busy schedules!
Pardon me while I indulge in some amusement at how we all laughed at Heather for knowing to the day how long she and Jon had been dating. It's all the better coming from someone who can't even remember how old she is half the time. :)
Looks as if it was wonderful. (There, I think, is another example of when you can say "if it was." No condition contrary to fact there.)
I know. The irony is not lost on me. I am quite able to laugh at myself and won't be offended if others join.
BEAUTIFUL!!!
