Our time at the Maggie P. has once again come to a close. Once again I think picture are better than words. Thanks to everyone for everything that made it a wonderful visit!
Three generations of end of the dock pictures: My dad and his sister, Heather and I, Jonathan and Noah
Somewhere there’s a cute picture of me sitting naked on the deck eating watermelon. I’ll have to find it and scan it in to match this one of Noah.
We visited the graves of Grandma Alice Porter Wightman and Isaac Christopher Daley
Isaac’s younger brothers placed flowers on the graves.
Uncle D took us for a sale on his boat on Saturday, and what fun we had. I never had much chance to sail because I was scared to death of messing up. My travels have taught me to be less of a scardy cat so I got my first lessons from Uncle D and had fun trying to keep the jib tails (or whatever they’re called) steady.
Best seats on the house.
Helmsman Jonathan
Inverted authority structure. They seem happy about it. ;)
Grandma and Noah enjoy some down time.
Two years old and Janet still loves showing off her cool camera.
A specialty of the Maggie P.: Eastcoast sunsets over the water
Jonathan enjoys the toy I bought in Switzerland for myself thinking it was a trilingual vocabulary game. Turns out its non-lingual and just the right kind of fun for my nephew.
Noah learned to be happy in my arms!
Look at the crabs, Mommy!
Goodbye 40 Sequassen Avenue!
I have to say, you are learning quite a bit from your photographer friends. I like the in-focus flowers with the blurred names behind. But I especially like the last shot with the boat garden and house number post in front of the Maggie P.
I agree that last picture is a real gem!
Thanks to Dad for stopping the car so I could hop out and get the last shot. I learned from Stephan the value of jumping out of the car on a road trip for a nice shot.
I used to have a toy like that! You hold the little device, and touch a corresponding dot and complete the circuit, making it beep. I loved it, although I got frustrated as it got increasingly short-circuity with use.
Very honored to have been a teacher, and pleased at the results, but I can't for the life of me remember jumping out of the car with you present...
Very nice pictures indeed. Thanks for doing this.
Thanks Dad. You're very welcome.
I can't tell if Stephan is being funny or if he doesn't remember the rainy road trip to French Switzerland with Jimmy. And does that mean you've jumped out of a moving car at some point in your life?
I guess I've forgotten the last decade of my life... I do remember the trip, but not getting out of the car just for a photo on that trip. Jimmy went for a walk at the lake, I - oh! yes. Now I remember. In the vineyards, is that what you're referring to?
And no. I've yet to break a bone - and I didn't get this far by jumping out of moving cars.
Yep, that's it. Sometimes I learn my lessons quickly.
