See entry for May 24.
Also I heard once of the following series of events among IVCF staff: Person A sent an email. Person B replied with something starting, "I resent your message..." Person A doesn't read Person B's email, but gets upset about it, wonders what he said to provoke such a response. On asking, Person B says, "Oh, I meant I forwarded your email--I *re-sent* it." Person B just learned the importance of the hyphen.

Add to the dragon story that when some people say "bad" they really mean "good," and it's almost enough to give up on communication altogether.

It's for me, too. :( "I think you went too far..."

Anyway, somehow the offsite reference's "contrary to popular belief, sometimes it is what you say, not how you say it" connected in my mind with our catechism discussion on Tuesday where we were reminded that "anyone who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." Which proves that, contrary to popular belief, it isn't the thought that counts. It's the execution.

So cheers to our dish-washing itinerant musician.
