I came early to my first day at Inlingua, and the teacher is sick so we have a substitute, but we will start a half hour late. So far there always seems to be a little problem, but things happen so I'm not judging yet. It is disappointing that we don't get to start with our teacher, but such is life. They have some computers we can use, hence I decided to use my time to write to you. It'll take me half and hour to edit all the z's that are supposed to be y's . . .
Maybe I should go study. What an idea. I haven't studied since I've been here.
Okay then. I can't wait to tell you that everything went great!
A few Hours later . . .
Things did go pretty well. There is only one other student in the class, a sound engineer named Val from New York City. He has a German wife and speaks some with the in-laws, but I know more grammar than he does. We both don't care so much for grammar and want to get to the talking, so hopefully we can shape our classes to fit that interest.
We did a lot of grammar review and drill and so far I like how then run the classes. It is a lot easier to sit and be told what to do rather than to direct the lessons myself as I did in Florida. I'm sure I'll be writing more about lessons, but that's it for now because it's time for lunch!
