The purpose for this post is mainly to experiment with adding pictures to my blog and mostly so I can procrastinate on work I don't want to do. My days in Florida have been passing pleasantly by for the most part: studying German, practicing, running, cleaning, studying German, etc. I played my first gig in 1 1/2 years last Sunday at Winter Park's First United Methodist Church. The Christmas Cantata was less that inspiring, but it was great fun to play with an orchestra (though small) again. I didn't stress nearly as much as I usually do about being prepared and having reeds etc, and it went fine.

If the point of this post is to try adding pictures I better get started. I think I get the king of procrastinator's title for today since I finally put up a net for holding stuff in my room that I've had for at least ten years and it's probably more like 15. Heather put hers up (or rather Dad did) soon after we got them but I've been waiting 15 years for my turn and finally decided to do it myself. I can't remember why it never went up, but it's up now somehow or another. I spent some time today putting stuff in it with the hopes of finding more room on my floor and in my closet. So far there's lots of stuff in the net but no more space anywhere else. How is it possible? Well, here's a picture of the fruit of my labors.

And this is a test to see if I can write text after the picture. Hopefully this ability will add inspiration for me to finish writing about Japan and to keep the new post flowing!

Nice work -- it looks great! (Both room and blog post.)

And now folks can see the Japanese window Dad made, too. We wanted to show it to them at Thanksgiving, but somehow I had mislaid the picture.
