Sorry, but I have to go chronologically or I’ll never get everything down. Wow, was it really my first Thursday with classes? It seems like I’ve been teaching for at least a month! Thursdays I have three classes in a row, which is a bit tough when you’re not used to it. My voice was a little weak by the end of it all. Of course, then I’m “free” the rest of the day, which is nice. This time there was an earthquake drill in memory a huge earthquake that happened Sept. 1st a number of years ago. We all stood outside for some speeches. It is hot in Yamanashi!

When I got home I made some udon soup and was so proud of it that I took a picture of it. I’m finally working on getting my pictures online, so look for that soon! As I was eating, Mark, Josh and Krystal came by asking me if I wanted to go out to eat, which of course I couldn’t, but they stayed for a bit and we talked, which was nice. I invited them all over for ice cream and chocolate sauce made from some package of chocolate cake type stuff that was on the discount rack. I have no idea what it was for or how to use it but I managed to make a pretty fine chocolate sauce out of it . . .

Friday was an okay day at school and I had planned to leave early but there was a miscommunication on when something was due so I stayed a bit late finishing something I thought I had a week to do. That should have been okay, but I wasn’t as prepared for this Mt. Fuji thing as I should have been so it made for an interesting afternoon, but that, I suppose, is part of the Mt. Fuji story.
